Your household is comprised of both 2 and 4 legged family members.
You have had the opportunity to find out what is working well, and what is not working so well in your home. Including what damages may have occurred due to your four legged (this goes for the young 2 legged ones as well) children’s antics, accidents and not so wonderful habits.

When the time is right to do interior decorating in your home, be it an update to your existing décor, a remodel or building a new home from the ground up, then it is the time to utilize a unique design process that places the needs and desires of the four legged family members alongside those of the two legged ones. For example, do you wish you could invite your cat or dog to snuggle on the sofa with you, but don’t because you are concerned over potential damage? Would you like to spend less time vacuuming up pet fur?  Do you hate the sight of the cat litter box? From your pets’ perspective, do they have the proper access to the sights, smells, play and rest areas that make their lives enjoyable?

All the senses are evaluated:

Sight   How do I want my home to look?
Smell   What do I want my home to smell like?
Dogs and cats have a discrimination of smell that humans can only imagine. We shouldn’t forget to consider this reality when answering the question.
Touch   What types of textures and materials feel good to me?
Sound   Are there noises that I want to highlight? Mask?
Don’t forget, hearing is highly acute in dogs and cats.

A thorough assessment about how you and your pets currently live together, determining what is working well, and what is less than ideal is made in order to optimize your new interior design.  Then a customized, comprehensive design plan that takes your priorities into consideration is developed.

The end result—The home of your dreams; welcoming, comfortable, beautiful and functional for all the family to enjoy!
